Chevrolet Performance LS376/515 Crate Engine – 515 HP Carbureted LS3 (19432420)
The Carbureted LS3: 515 HP Without the Wiring Harness
The LS376/515 is Chevrolet Performance’s answer to a question more builders are asking: what if you want LS3 power in a classic chassis without EFI harnesses, controllers and laptop tuning? Take the proven 6.2L Gen IV LS3, fit the racing-derived ASA hot cam and Chevrolet’s unique spider-type carburetor intake manifold, and you get 515 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 469 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm — fed by a conventional 650–750 cfm carburetor you can tune with a screwdriver.
Everything that makes the LS3 the world’s most popular swap engine is here: an aluminum block with six-bolt cross-bolted main caps, L92-style rectangular-port heads, individual coil ignition and an internally balanced rotating assembly. What’s gone is the complexity. For classic muscle, street rods and race cars, this is the simplest path to genuine LS power.
Know before you order: this is a long block with carbureted intake manifold. Carburetor, ignition controller, starter, flexplate/flywheel and exhaust manifolds are required to complete it — see the specifications table for part numbers.
Key Features & Benefits
-
LS3 architecture, aluminum everything — cast-aluminum block with 6-bolt cross-bolted mains, nodular iron crank, powdered-metal rods, hypereutectic pistons. Light, compact and enormously strong.
-
ASA racing cam (PN 88958770) — hydraulic roller, .525″ lift both sides, 226°/236° @ .050 on a 110° lsa. Holds the valves open longer up top, which is where the extra 85+ hp over a stock LS3 comes from. Honest note: it can surge slightly below 2,500 rpm under light load — normal behavior for this cam, cured by downshifting.
-
L92-style rectangular-port heads — 68cc chambers, 2.165″/1.590″ valves, as-cast. The best flowing production-style LS head GM makes.
-
Spider-type carburetor intake included — Chevrolet Performance PN 25534401, designed specifically for this engine’s carbureted conversion.
-
58X reluctor, internally balanced — compatible with standard LS ignition controllers and converters.
-
Factory-new throughout — Chevrolet Performance uses no used or remanufactured components in this crate engine.
Decoding the Part Number: 19432420
-
19-prefix — Chevrolet Performance crate engine program (all GM crate engines carry 19-series part numbers)
-
4324xx family — the LS-series carbureted crate engine range; the LS376/480, LS376/515 and related variants live here [VERIFY: GM publishes no official digit-by-digit decoder — treat this as our working interpretation, not factory documentation]
-
Popular shorthand: “LS376/515” = 376 cubic inches / 515 horsepower

What Does It Fit?
Any chassis being converted to LS power — the LS376/515 is especially suited to pre-EFI classics where a carburetor is the natural choice: 1967–1992 Camaro/Firebird, Chevelle, Nova, El Camino, C10 pickups, Corvettes, plus street rods and kit cars. Because it’s internally balanced and carbureted, there’s no EFI harness or throttle body to package. You will still need LS-specific motor mounts, oil pan/clearance check, fuel delivery to the carb, and an LS bellhousing-pattern transmission or adapter.
