The AMC 4.0L inline-six is one of the most durable engines ever fitted to a 4×4 — the engine that powered Cherokees past 400,000 km and Wranglers up trails no road reaches. The VEGE DA30 is the 4.0L/242 inline-six, remanufactured in the Netherlands by Europe’s largest engine remanufacturer — thermal cleaned, crack-tested, machined back to OEM tolerances and fitted with new pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets and seals throughout, then run on a state-of-the-art test bench before it leaves the factory.
What arrives: a complete long block — block, cylinder heads and oil pump, with gaskets. What transfers from your old engine: intake and exhaust manifolds, oil pan, water pump, valve and timing covers, flywheel/flexplate, sensors, wiring and ECU.
